The International Council for Holistic Dog Training and Behavior (ICHDTB) is an international membership organization of Holistic and Alternative Practitioners who work in all phases of dog training and management of behavioral and emotional problems in dogs. The Council encourages the development, study, and dissemination of alternative and complementary approaches to canine behavioral health. ICHDTB offers services to the public, including a holistic dog trainer and holistic dog behavior consultant referral service.

Mission Statement The Council’s main purpose is to promote the advancement of the field through the recognition of competent individuals who practice on a professional basis and choose to be recognized as meeting practice standards. Our mission is to advance the careers of holistic dog trainers, counselors and practitioners, while enhancing dog's welfare and human-dog relationship through research, education and ethical conduct. We encourage the development, study, and dissemination of alternative and complementary approaches to canine behavioral wellness. Putting Animal Safety and Protection First We encourage companion dog caregivers to make informed choices on behalf of their pets and help them reduce the use of ineffective and/or harmful techniques, therapies or products.
